Meet the Knights of the Comedy
Sir Chris Dingli
Sir Chris of the Dingles hails from the rainy land overseas where people apologise for nothing. He is renown for his jesting, his wit and for his enormous lance, which he uses a lot. He has never slain a dragon but has rescued several princesses, one of whom left him for a giant green ogre…or Wayne Rooney (he's not sure).
Sir Marc Cabourdin
Sir Cabourdin always wants to fight the good fight... he battles on the side of artistic integrity, and celebrates his victories with nights of debauchery, well at least he did many moons ago! He disappeared to Provincia Britannia for a few years, where he honned his skills, under the psudonym Kun T. Rash, and today has returned to prepare our land for the great battle which lies ahead in the glorious year of our lord two thousand and eighteen.
Lady Jo Caruana
Lady Jo loves a good laugh, and is especially fond of sparring with the knights to prove she's no helpless damsel. Best known for guffaw-inducing roles as Elle in Legally Blonde, Stephanie in You've Got Hate Mail (both for Mellow Drama) and Mimi in Allo Allo (FM Theatre), she has also tread the boards in numerous pantomimes and dramatic shows to boot. When she's not prancing about on stage, Jo runs the very serious (ish) copywriting and content marketing company Writemeanything.com.
Lady Pia Zammit
It is not the first time lady pia has done comic battle on the stage, for she the won the hearts of many in comedies such as 'allo 'allo, Are You being served and You've Got Hate Mail! The major mystery that shrouds Lady pia is that what goes into her cleavage never returns! And she stores then in a jar under her bed, looks at them every night and softly sighs 'oh I heart my heart collection'. Faint heart never won fair lady ..... But the opposite is true haha! Join her this year on stage as she brings more surprises and mayhem!
Sir Thomas Camilleri
Sir Thomas, Keeper of the Hairy Camels and Steward of the Holy Rolling Pin, is back. Too long has he ridden his camels through the cobbled streets of the City. Too long has he sated his hunger with overcooked pasta. No more! He shall have his tea in a glass and his pastizzi fresh and all will gaze upon him and despair!
Sir Steve Hili
Sir Steve Hili or (as he is known to his close acquaintances) the Baron of Bubblebeef is known for his courage, wit, and especially large penis. This penis, which he uses to guard his radio realm was bequeathed to the Baron by the pre-op lady of the lake in recognition of his jesting skills.
Sir Colin Fitz
In the first few years of this holy century, Sir Colin Fitz has appeared in the musicals The Rocky Horror Show and Cabaret, the pantomimes Robin Hood meets the Babes in the Wood, Cinderella and The Curse of Snow White and comedies Bla Kommixin 3, My First Time, ’Allo ’Allo, Are You Being Served, All the Great Books, Yes Prime Minister and Arsenic & Old Lace. He once used witchcraft and sorcery to ensure he was awarded the MADC’s Most Promising Actor Award. He is fond of banqueting, wenches and jousting.
Lady Larissa Bonaci
Lady Larissa, The Songstress of the night is a new edition to the merry band of comic crusaders! Larissa has worked her way into The Comedy Knights TV Shorts and will be and the Comedy Knights Club Cabaret, and will now be part of the big show! Don't miss her velvet voice, as she will sweetly seduce all the lords and ladies in her presence!
Sir Wesley Ellul
Sir Wesley (yes he's a guy!) has been treading the boards, and falling off of them for over 15 years, having played any role that came his way, from actor to director, and stage hand to Artistic Director of MADC. He's also directed some of Malta's most memberable shows including Spring Awakening and MY First time, not to mention created four orginal shows including R&J Forever a mashup musical and the infamous Dingle Bells, Malcolm Smells. The world now trembles in fear as he prepares to conquer another realm in life.... Fatherhood!
Sir Malcolm Galea
Sir Malcolm Galea is no stranger to the world of Comedy, being one of Malta's Leading Writers and Standup Comics. Malcom has been slaying audience with is his witty pen for years, having masterminded the award winning Porn The Musical, The Complete History of Malta (More or Less) and several pantos for both MADC and Masquerade. Malcolm also forms part of the TheatreGoneWrong improv comedy company and is the main driving force behind the More or Less Theatre Company
Sir Joseph Zammit
Joseph Zammit is a mad man who has trying to make a living out of the arts for the past 6 years. His most notable roles include:Yvan in 'ART' (WhatsTheirNames Theatre), Autolycus in 'A Winter's Tale' (MADC), Rudge in 'History Boys' (Masquerade) and Frank in 'Olly's Prison (Unifaun). He also played leading roles in various Pantos, Operas, Concerts and Burlesques. He started writing professionally for a TV show LIFT, in which he also acted. Now he is taking on writing comedy sketches and stand up shows which he performs regularly.
Sir Philip Leone Ganado
When Philip was born, he could barely hold a pen. It was four years before he mastered the letter ‘a’. So his progress to this point – writing and performing sketches and stand-up comedy that people occasionally laugh at – should be seen as nothing short of remarkable.
